  • How can I request flight or accommodation reservations?

    First of all, to make your flight reservation, please inform:

    - Passenger name;
    - Date of the trip;
    - Itinerary (departure and destination airport codes);
    - Reservation class (first class; executive or economy);
    - Cost center;
    - Name of person responsible for the reservation; telephone, department and email of contact person;
    - Airline* (in case of preference);
    - Mileage Card* (if any);
    - Seat and special meal requests* (if any);

    After having all these documents ready, just contact Alatur.

  • How should I proceed to cancel a trip and request a refund?

    In case of cancelling airline ticket or hotel reservations, please contact your Alatur agent immediately. He/she will handle the process with the supplier and will also inform the client about the specific conditions of the airline or hotel in case of cancellation.  

  • How should I proceed in case of international trips?

    Remember to check:
    - The expiration date of your passport beforehand, because the minimum validity required is six (6) months;
    - If the destination country requires a visa and/or vaccines. In case the destination country requires a visa, the traveler must contact Alatur to be informed about the necessary documentation.

    Pay attention to:
    - The mandatory or advisable requisites of the location to be visited;
    - The minimum notice required for each type of vaccine and/or visa;
    - The risk you run when traveling on business with a tourist visa;
    - Some countries may not require particular vaccination, but this may be demanded by Brazilian authorities when returning from your trip.

  • What is Airport Check-in? What is Check-in and Check-out at Hotels?

    Airport Check-in
    Airport Check-in is the first step the passenger has to take. It consists in presenting yourself at the airline counter holding your documents and luggage. Then the ticket is issued, the luggage is dispatched and carry-on items (purses, small bags, etc., which the passenger brings along into the aircraft) are identified.

    The Airport Check-in can also be made in advance through web check-in services offered by many airlines. Click here and check out the web check-in links of the main airlines.

    Check-in and Check-out at Hotels
    Check-in consists in identifying a guest's entrance into a hotel. It involves the verification of the reservation, filling in the hotel form and the presentation of your room. 
    Check-out is used by hotel chains to identify a guest's departure from a hotel. It involves the verification of the accommodations and facilities used by the guest, the items consumed from the minibar or refrigerator and the issuing of the bill of expenses to be paid, as well as a report of any damages caused by the guest for later reimbursement.

  • After receiving my flight ticket, what should I do?

    After receiving the flight ticket you should check-in at the airline. This can be made in two different ways: personally at the airline counter at the airport, or through the internet: the so-called web check-in (talk to Alatur agents if you have any questions).

    Checking-in personally at the airline counter
    To avoid missing your flight, always arrive at the airport well in advance and find the airline counter. At check-in you will receive your boarding pass and dispatch your luggage.

    Remember:
    Domestic Flights - arrive at the airport at least 1 hour before the flight departure time.
    International Flights - arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before the flight departure time.

    Check-in through the internet, web check-in
    Check-in can also be made in advance through web check-in services offered by many airlines. Click here and check out the web check-in links of the main airlines.

    Important Note
    Do not check-in in advance if you are not sure whether you will be at the airport at the appointed boarding time. Also, if you are not able to be at the airport on time and/ or miss the flight it will make the refund impossible and may compromise its validity.

  • What is the check-in and check-out time established for most of the national hotels?

    There is an agreement as to check-in and check-out times at national hotels:

    Check-in at 2PM
    Check-out at Noon

    Some hotels change these times on account of lunch and other factors. Always ask for information about check-in and check-out times in your trips.

  • What is the check-in and check-out time at international hotels?

    There is no agreement as to check-in and check-out times among international hotels.

    For this reason, always ask your Alatur agent for information about this.

  • Having already checked-in through the internet, how much in advance do I have to be at the airport?

    Domestic Flights - arrive at the airport at least 1 hour before the flight departure time.

    International Flights - arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before the flight departure time.

  • What is the Personal Trip area?

    It is an Alatur area which handles trips aimed at individuals, which can be leisure trips, incentive corporate packages, trips through Virtuoso and Club+.

  • How should I proceed to quote the price of my leisure trip?

  • What are the country's main airports?

  • What is No-show? How do I proceed in such cases?

    No-show is when a guest who had a confirmed reservation does not appear at the hotel and has not cancelled the reservation within the established deadline. Usually a no-show fee is charged. The fee varies according to the hotel and there is nothing to be done in this case. Therefore, it is better to plan your trip so as to prevent this from happening, or, if necessary, do not forget to cancel your reservation within the deadline established by the hotel.   

  • How should I proceed to make changes to my trip (date, time, etc)?

    Contact Alatur immediately and request your changes. For each type of change, depending on how long in advance it is requested, the airline or the hotel, a different fee is charged. Therefore, when booking a trip, be sure of all information related to it (date, time, etc).

  • What is the IATA table?

    The IATA airport code is a code composed of three letters that designate airports worldwide. It is established by the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

  • How should I proceed in case of ticket or e-ticket loss?

    Ticket Loss
    Always keep a copy of your flight ticket (printed ticket) together with the copy of your passport. If you lose the ticket, it is advisable to have a copy at hand when contacting the airline. If you have any questions, contact Alatur at any time.

    E-Ticket Loss
    Always keep a copy of your E-Ticket together with the copy of your passport. In case you lose it, it will be necessary to contact the travel agent and/or Alatur to request the re-issue of the E-Ticket Code.

  • What should I do if my luggage is lost?

    In case your luggage is lost, do not leave the airport without having registered the claim in writing.

    In case your luggage has been violated or damaged, report it immediately to the airline before taking it out of the luggage area, demanding proof of your complaint. Airlines do not accept later complaints.
  • What should I do if I miss my flight?

    Contact Alatur immediately and request a reservation for another flight. Each airline has a particular fee and policy for missed flights. 

    The best thing to do - and which also reduces your losses - is to inform the cancellation or possibility of missing the flight as early as possible.
